Nobile aimed to create a kite in the NHP 666 that features all the good parts of a C shape. Fast, direct and axial turning with positive but not hard bar pressure, great unhooked performance and considerable lift. And picture the NHP 666 with all these features and still behaving like a flatter kite with massive depower.

So the NHP 666 handles gusts very well. Especially with a fifth line which is enhanced with multiple leading edge attachments and a natural arc technology. The split line attachments allows the centre of effort of the kite to move forwards when depowering. with this features the NHP 666 offers near bow levels of depower.
But still I think that the NHP 666 has to prove itself and that the next edition (2009) will be the one you want to buy!
The NHP 666 has no pulleys and direct rear line attachments. This means the bar pressure is very light and still adequately responsive giving u the feedback that u need. They did design the kite indivdually so Nobile claims to have created a constant feel across the range. A feature I think is very important. You dont want to buy a NHP 666 9 metre with everybody saying you should’ve bought the 7m fool!
Futher notible features of the Nobile 666:
- Bar and chickenloop is the same as on the 555.
- Bar is easily changed to a 5th line setup
- Solid chickenloop made out of solid plastic. Nice one!
- Very direct steering, but turning on the small kites have been slowed down.
- Constant power, so needs a bit more technical approach to depower, but when you are a good kiter you’ll like that on the NHP 666
- The 555 is much more progressive on the power build up. More smooth power that is.
- Very much like a C-kite.
- Various attachments available for faster turning.
The NHP 666 is a real weapon in experienced hands. The better you ride the more you’ll get out of it.
The NHP 666 comes in the following sizes: 7m, 9m, 10m, 12m and 14m.
